checkout steps are not expanding niether working magento 1.9 -

i had updated custom theme in magento 1.9 goes iam unable expand checkout steps.

it says: <div id="checkout-step-login" class="step a-item" style="display:none;">

when change <div id="checkout-step-login" class="step a-item" style="display:block;">

step visible iam not able continue further second step.

if change theme (rwd theme) checkout steps expand , run well

what missing in custom theme unables checkout steps expand , work correctly? please help

try add theme register.phtml file , try again.
